I paid $120 for a full acrylic set and three nails popped off within three days. I followed the aftercare instructions I was given — no soaking, no picking. I reached out about it and was offered a free fix but no refund. That's not acceptable for a $120 service that didn't hold up. I've attached photos taken the day after the appointment and then three days later when they came off.

In my professional opinion, nails lifting that quickly is almost always an aftercare issue. I take photos of every set before the client leaves. I offered a complimentary fix within 48 hours, which is standard in the industry. A refund isn't the norm for a service that was completed and signed off on.

I understand you're frustrated. But without being able to inspect the nails in person, I can't confirm what caused the lifting. The offer to fix within 48 hours shows good faith. Without seeing the actual nails, it's hard to blame the application alone.

I've seen clients do everything right and still have issues based on their natural nail chemistry. The offer to fix within 48 hours shows good faith. Without seeing the actual nails, it's hard to blame the application alone.

The photos are the deciding factor. Day one vs day three with nails already off — that's not gradual lifting from misuse. A $120 set should last at minimum two weeks with normal use.

Aftercare really does matter more than most clients realize. Without seeing the actual application or knowing the client's nail health, I can't say this was the tech's fault. Offering a free fix is the right move.

Three nails in three days with documented photos is not an aftercare issue — that's an adhesion problem. A care sheet doesn't matter if prep or primer wasn't done right. The photos are the evidence here.
